What started in 1955 by Marcus Shapiro, continues today... A first and second generation, family run business that continues to offer personalized tax services to individuals and businesses throughout the Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland area.

Upon the passing of company founder Marcus Shapiro in 1975, his spouse Patricia Shapiro hired accountants and took control of the business. In 1982, their son Leonard came aboard full time and subsequently became a partner in the 1990's. Today, Leonard Shapiro along with his mother Patricia Shapiro, at over 80 years young, manage the day to day operations of Shapiro Tax Consultant.

Through the years many things have changed. Salaries, retirement programs, business profits, tax laws and regulations to name a few. One thing that has not changed, is the level of individual and professional service provided by Shapiro Tax Consultant.
